Lez Kayak

Lez Kayak was a beautiful success.

We had an amazing morning out on the water. Thirty of us lovely ladies took to the river, paddling through silvery waves and sunning ourselves under a perfect Pittsburgh June sky. We had three awesome guides, who let us in on fun facts from one of the city’s most unique vantage points. (When we were gliding past Washington’s Landing, we learned that it used to be the burial grounds for the Pittsburgh Zoo!)

Only one of us ended up IN the water. After a rebellious contemplation of an under-bridge rope swing, Jeanna chickened out and attempted to climb back into her boat. This resulted in a riotous capsize that gave us all a good laugh, Jeanna included (And don’t worry — her iPhone 4 survived, thanks to the safety of a ziploc bag).

We want to thank Venture Outdoors for being such amazing hosts. And we want to thank all who came for helping us to build such gorgeous memories. We are most grateful for the new friends made (and the Cheez-its passed between us).
